JD Johnson

JD Johnson is VP of Business Development for GM Defense LLC. He is responsible for identifying growth opportunities among military and government customers that align with GM Defense’s core capabilities, including integrated vehicles, power and propulsion, and mobility and autonomy. Johnson spent more than 35 years in the U.S. Army retiring at the rank of Lieutenant General. He has held numerous leadership posts within Raytheon, most recently as the acting vice president of Customer Engagement and Solutions Johnson holds a Master of Strategic Studies (U.S. Army War College), two Masters of Military Arts and Science (U.S. Army’s Command and General Staff College), and an undergraduate degree in history (Virginia Military Institute).
