Nathan Sabri
Nate Sabri has litigated patent, copyright, and trademark issues for plaintiffs and defendants in federal and state courts at the trial court and appellate levels. For plaintiffs, his successes include a judgment in excess of $500 million. For defendants, he has achieved complete defense victories through summary judgment and at trial.
Nate represents clients in a wide variety of technology industries. He has advised on and litigated matters involving video games, blockchain, touch technology software and hardware, network security, semiconductors, surgical robotics, and more.
Nate’s successes include an in-court trial for high-profile smartphone cases that led to four jury verdicts totaling over $1 billion and two successful trials defending a global software company against patent infringement claims. He has also obtained numerous wins in advance of trial, including a complete summary judgment victory confirming patent ownership for a leading web services provider and a motion to dismiss a patent infringement action for lack of standing a few months before trial for another major technology company.
In his active pro bono practice, Nate won asylum for a transgender refugee who was forced to flee her native country. He also successfully defended a nonprofit human rights organization against allegations of trademark infringement related to the organization’s use of a parody logo. Nate obtained a swift denial of the plaintiff’s request for a temporary restraining order, which led to voluntary dismissal of the entire case.
