Rachel Appleton

Rachel Appleton leads U.S. external affairs for Anthropic. She is an experienced public policy professional and attorney with over 12 years of experience spanning the public, private, and nonprofit sectors. She previously held roles across the U.S. government, including in the Department of Justice and as a counsel on the Senate Judiciary Committee and for Congressman Derek Kilmer. Rachel began her career as a litigator at Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan. She holds a J.D. from Loyola Law School and a B.A. from New York University.
