Since becoming an A&R in 2015, Derrick Aroh, SVP, A&R at RCA Records has been all about signing artists who make a significant impact in culture.In 2018, the Brooklyn native – alongside Tunji Balogun and Adonis Sutherlin (SVP, A&R) signed Childish Gambino (aka Donald Glover) after a very competitive multi label battle. Gambino scored his first hot 100 #1 with the 4x platinum, 4x Grammy award single, “This Is America.” Gambino also scored two more Platinum records that year on RCA.
