Malika Andrews is a journalist and host of ESPN’s weekday NBA studio show, NBA Today. She also hosts NBA Countdown on ESPN and ABC. She has appeared across multiple ESPN platform including ESPN.com, SportsCenter and ESPN Radio. Andrews made her debut as a sideline reporter during the 2019-20 season, serving as a sideline reporter throughout the NBA playoffs. In 2021, at 26-years-old, Andrews became the youngest sports broadcaster to host the NBA Finals Trophy Ceremony. She made history in 2022 as the first ever woman to host the NBA Draft. She won the Outstanding Personality/Emerging On-Air talent Sports Emmy in 2022. Prior to joining ESPN in October 2018, Andrews worked as a reporter for the Chicago Tribune. Prior to joining the Tribune, Andrews worked as a reporter at The New York Times. Andrews is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists and sits on the NABJ Sports Task Force Scholarship Committee. She was honored with the 2021 NABJ Michael J. Feeney Emerging Journalist of the Year Award. In Malika’s free time, she likes to ride horses, workout, volunteer, and read.
