Chris Peters
Chris’ passion for diffusion theory, manufacturing supply chains and entrepreneurship has led to a unique skillset. His work with organizations that range from start-ups to Fortune 500 manufacturers and the Department of Defense (DoD) has been an enriching experience.
As founding executive director of the U.S. Partnership for Assured Electronics, Chris established and grew this non-profit organization that helps ensure the U.S. government has access to trusted and assured electronics supply chains. Chris has launched other organizations, including MetalSite, the world’s first industry-backed manufacturing marketplace funded by the country’s largest metals producers. Chris went on to help create similar manufacturing consortia in 20 industries globally, fundamentally changing the way that supply chain partners interact. He has helped raise hundreds of millions of dollars from angels, venture capitalists and industry for his companies and his clients.
A frequent speaker on defense manufacturing supply chains, Chris has written many related papers and articles. His work has been documented in several books and in publications that include The Wall Street Journal, BusinessWeek and IndustryWeek.
Chris is proud to have served in the U.S. Coast Guard.
