Angela Dorgan

Angela Dorgan is the CEO of www.firstmusiccontact.com (FMC), the Arts Council funded national resource organization for musicians who run the online music portal www.breakingtunes.com, the annual Irish music industry showcase www.irelandmusicweek.com, the Irish Music Export initiative www.musicfromireland.org in partnership with Culture Ireland, and have recently helped establish an association of Independent music, AIM Ireland
Angela is also the current chair of the National Campaign for the Arts, who lobby government for increased support, funding and recognition of artists, arts workers and arts organisations in Ireland. Angela was recently elected Vice President of EMEE, the European Music Exporters Exchange, where she was part of a group that devised a global music export strategy for European Music for the European Commission. Angela provides mentoring support to music and export offices around the world. In her role as chair of NCFA, Angela was a member of the Arts Council Expert Advisory Group on Covid 19 and was also a member of the Arts and Culture Recovery Taskforce
Angela is a regular contributor and expert voice on music and arts in the Irish media, has a Masters Degree in Sociology from UCC and believes that Arts and Culture are an essential part of the life of every citizen.
