Vanessa Olson

Vanessa Olson is from small-town Ohio, and grew up very focused on one goal: to leave and be a PR person in a big city. Before becoming a PR person for the big city, Vanessa began her career in management consulting and politics.
Vanessa directs communication and marketing for Downtown Austin Alliance. She has contributed significantly to key projects including the community’s Downtown Vision, two strategic plans and managing the 10-year authorization of the Downtown PID. Vanessa pioneered the annual Future of Downtown event and co-creates organizational educational events and reports, including the State of Downtown report.
Vanessa fully embodies the Austin lifestyle, completing 500 hours of yoga teacher training, enjoying her three dog children and volunteering with Love-A-Bull rescue.
