Neşe Devenot
A reformed "psychedelic cheerleader," Dr. Devenot is now a prominent critic of the psychedelic industry and its associated hype. Their scholarship explores the intersections between health humanities, psychedelic bioethics, and comparative literature, and their book project — on the literary devices that often structure psychedelic experiences — is under contract with Columbia University Press. Neşe's psychedelic ethics research has appeared in the Kennedy Institute of Ethics Journal, JAMA Psychiatry, the Journal of Psychedelic Studies, Frontiers in Psychology, and Anthropology of Consciousness. They completed a postdoctoral fellowship in the Department of Bioethics at the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine.
