Elena Del Pup

Elena is a PhD Candidate at Wageningen University in the Netherlands. Her research focuses on discovering plant-derived products for the development of novel drugs, biomaterials, and biofortified, resilient and sustainable crops.
Elena received a bachelor’s degree in agricultural sciences and plant biotechnologies at the University of Pisa in Italy and a master’s in plant sciences at Wageningen University.
Elena cares deeply about the societal role of scientists in her field. She volunteers and holds leadership roles in youth associations including Nucleate, GeneSprout Initiative, and The Good Scientists, where she serves as President and Founder.
