Ben Shen

Ben Shen leads the Banking Product teams at Cash App (part of Block, Inc). In his role, he oversees core products across Cash App’s ecosystem including Cash App Card, Direct Deposit, Savings and more. Prior to his current role, Ben wore multiple hats at Cash App, including leading efforts related to rewards products (Cash App Card offers, referral program, etc) under the Growth team, as well as the Cash App finance & strategy team.

Ben started his career at Goldman Sachs on the trading desk. While he enjoyed the job's quantitative nature and managing risk, he found himself wanting to understand industries and businesses in a more fundamental way. This led him to join Cash App in 2016 when it was a P2P-only product, and help build and scale the product to now having over 50 million monthly active customers, spanning across P2P, Banking, and other products.

In his free time, he enjoys basketball and snowboarding, as well as re-reading Calvin & Hobbes in order to help create that type of childhood for his 2 year old son, Theo.
