Dr. Jennifer Ashton
Dr. Jennifer Ashton is the Chief Medical Correspondent for ABC News and co-host of GMA3. She is the first woman and only the third physician to hold this position in the history of the network. Since joining ABC in 2012, she has reported on a full-range of medical topics including the maternal mortality crisis, mental illness and suicide, and heart disease. Dr. Ashton is a 4-time Emmy Award winner for her work in medical reporting and has also received the Columbia Alfred DuPont Award for Excellence in Journalism for her work in television covering medical topics. She is the author of six books, including the national best-seller, The Self Care Solution, as well as Life After Suicide and The New Normal and the Editor-in-Chief of Dr. Jen Ashton, the magazine.
