Texas Equal Access Fund

Maleeha Aziz is the Deputy Director at Texas Equal Access Fund (TEA Fund). In her role, she shapes the next phase of TEA Fund, expands and advances programming, and focuses on organizational and leadership development. Maleeha co-founded TEA Fund’s Post-Abortion Truth and Healing group (PATH), which provides folx who have had abortions with social and emotional support. She also spearheaded TEA Fund’s My Choice: Not A Crisis campaign that raises awareness about the dangers of anti-abortion centers and offers a safe alternative for parents in need of resources.

During her time with TEA Fund Maleeha has represented the organization before Congress when she testified against abortion bans by sharing her story and highlighting the work abortion funds do to support their communities. She is a passionate reproductive justice advocate and shares her abortion stories to build community and help shift the current narrative.

Maleeha is a parent to her sweet four-year-old daughter, Maya, and credits her abortions for allowing her to choose motherhood on her terms and when she felt physically, financially, and emotionally ready. Maleeha’s love for her daughter Maya and her abortion experiences are the driving forces behind her fierce reproductive justice advocacy and storytelling work.
