Mike founded his New York City based marketing consultancy, Raven Strategy Group in 2022. His consultancy helps small and medium sized businesses develop, implement, and manage marketing strategies for growth. He serves as Chief Marketing Officer for an agritourism brand in North Carolina called Juneberry Ridge. Juneberry Ridge is a farm and hospitality business on a mission to change the way the world grows by connecting guests to nature, elevated food, and farming practices that focus on regenerating soil health. He also serves as Senior Strategy Director at creative agency Bartley & Dick. At B&D he crafts marketing strategies for big brands including Amazon, Microsoft, and Ingredion, among other mid-sized organizations including the Jackie Robinson Foundation and the New Jersey Theatre Alliance.

He earned his Bachelor of Commerce degree in Canada at the University of Alberta with a focus on international business and marketing. He started his career in Lima, Peru where he helped European content owners conduct sales and marketing activities across Latin America and the Caribbean. He relocated to London, UK to lead marketing for BBC News across the Americas, ultimately helping to grow TV distribution for BBC News in the US by 25 million households. He has also served in executive management roles at the Government of Canada, and the Bank of Nova Scotia.

Mike enjoys a thorough conversation about brand strategy, improving the quality of work/life balance, futurism, finding your own voice, setting big goals, and achieving them. Although he’s very much an urbanite, food and agriculture are a special passion of his, stemming from three generations of family farming.
