Ben Patterson
Ben Patterson is President of Downtown Artist & Label Services and founder of DashGo, Inc.
An experienced senior executive specializing in digital distribution, marketing and content monetization Patterson was recognized by Billboard magazine as a 2020, 2021 and 2023 Indie Power Player. DashGo was founded to provide digital distribution with white glove service and digital sales support for a curated roster of clients.
As President of Downtown Artist & Label Services he manages direct distribution partnerships with Apple, Amazon, Spotify, YouTube and DSPs worldwide and supports a global pitching and promotions team serving Artists including Los Tucanes de Tijuana, Sadie Jean, Cheat Codes, Hunter Hayes, Madeon, Rock Mafia, Natanael Cano and No Te Va Gustar. As Executive VP of GMG Entertainment he led digital music consulting strategy for Target and helped develop a prepaid entertainment gift card service company.
His career began at music management company The Firm where he served as Vice President of Digital Music and Strategic Development from 2000-2005 and oversaw all digital marketing and business development for clients including Snoop Dogg, Dixie Chicks, Korn, Linkin Park, Enrique Iglesias, Weezer, Audioslave and Backstreet Boys among others.
Important Achievements Last 12-18 Months: Ben launched an Atmos mixing studio for Downtown clients; expanded Downtown Artist & Label Services’ distribution operations globally in UK and South America; signed artists and labels including Cheat Codes, Rebecca Black, TV Girl, Matt Hansen, REI AMI, Matoma, New 11 Records, Selene / Avex.
Under his leadership, the Artist & Label Services division has stayed on the pulse of new technologies, such as seamlessly integrating found.ee into their distribution and marketing platform and being on the forefront of new applications of AI. His client-first approach leads his team to scour for the most coveted new opportunities from DSPs such as the TikTok CML and more.
