As Executive Director of DesignSingapore Council (Dsg), Dawn sets the vision and strategy for Singapore’s national agency for design.

Since she took over the reins in June 2022, she has positioned Singapore Design for the future –focusing on design's role in shaping emerging technology and sustainability. She also oversaw the relaunch of Singapore Design Week held every September and the debut of Dsg’s showcase, Future Impact, at Milan Design Week 2023.

Prior to this, she helmed Singapore’s global leadership ambitions in Commercial & Professional Services at the Economic Development Board - Singapore’s lead economic agency where she engaged and attracted the world’s leading organisations in the consulting, accounting, marketing and advertising, as well as engineering services and logistics sectors. She headed EDB’s European team to advance Singapore’s business engagements with Fortune 500 companies across a wide range of industries, bringing in more than US $1 billion in investments annually. Under Dawn’s stewardship, Singapore EDB established its first office in Switzerland.

Dawn holds a BSc in International Relations from Georgetown University and an MSc from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, where she also discovered her inclination towards design after a stint at the Hasso Plattner Institute of Design.

She has two decades of experience in public and private sector trade agreements, policymaking, partnership development and industrial strategy in Asia and Europe.
