Rich Robinson
Rich Robinson is EVP, Global Sync and Media Original Music at Warner Chappell Music (WCM). In this role, he is focused on cultivating creative opportunities for the music publisher’s songwriters and songs across the media and streaming landscape, with an emphasis on TV, film, and advertising.
Robinson joined Warner Chappell in 2018 as EVP of Sync and Creative Services, where he was responsible for leading the company’s sync initiatives beyond the U.S. He was promoted to EVP and Global Head of Synchronization in October 2019 – which marked the first time WCM had a dedicated global sync leader – and focused his efforts on setting a shared global vision, repositing the team as valued music experts in the media market and trusted partners to WCM’s songwriters.
Prior to joining WCM, Robinson spent five successful years at Warner Music, where he was VP, Sync of Warner Music UK and Europe. During his time at the record company, he placed tracks in major adverts, including the UK’s coveted John Lewis Christmas campaign for two years running with songs from Lily Allen and Gabrielle Aplin. He also established and oversaw music supervision for films and TV, including Netflix’s Residue, and feature length films such as Kill Your Friends and I, Tonya. Robinson started his career at Saatchi & Saatchi in 2003 as a Music Consultant, before moving to EMI in 2007 as Business Development Manager and quickly rising through the ranks to become VP of Sync.
Rich has also written two TV series projects that are currently in development, one with Rainmaker Content and Ruby Rock Pictures and another with Warner Music and Aldgate Pictures.
