Devin Lavigne
Devin Lavigne is a notable figure in urban planning, distinguished by his expertise in urban design, GIS, and development visualization. As a co-founder of Houseal Lavigne, his innovative projects have brought the firm national recognition, earning several prestigious awards including the National Excellence Award from the American Planning Association in 2014, Esri’s Most Innovative Partner Award, and multiple Special Achievement in GIS Awards. His work has made a significant difference in communities worldwide.
Devin is also well-regarded for his contributions as a speaker, having presented at over 50 conferences and events on a wide range of topics from GIS and visualization tools to corridor planning and geodesign. His insights have been shared at notable events such as the National Planning Conference, regional APA conferences, SketchUp's 3D Basecamp, the Esri User Conference, and the Esri Geodesign Summit.
In addition to his professional work, Devin is deeply committed to education. He has taught urban design and planning visualization to both graduate and undergraduate students at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and the University of Illinois at Chicago. Currently, he is an adjunct lecturer at Penn State, teaching geodesign in their Master’s Degree program.
