Gillian Hobson

Gillian Hobson is SVP of Global Rights & Society Relations at Universal Music Group where she leads a range of commercial and operational initiatives designed to improve working relationships with industry bodies like IFPI, DDEX and Neighbouring Rights Organisations across the world to deliver increasing revenues for music creators and rightsholders globally. She also leads and supports a number of transformational and operational projects at UMG to transform the end to end music operations infrastructure to ensure we are identifying, collecting and paying through to our artists and labels, every dollar, cent and dime for the use of our music in every corner around the world. Prior to joining UMG, Gillian spent 20 years at EMI Music in various finance and transformation related roles.
