Ryan Genji Thomas

Ryan Genji Thomas is an Emmy-nominated XR Producer at Meta who combines his passion for narrative and new technologies as the Creative Lead for MR entertainment apps and the VR-for-Good program while also producing an array of immersive content including XR sports and interactive narrative apps, VR animated shorts, and embodied VR social entertainment experiences in Horizon Worlds.

Following his decade-long tenure at PDI/DreamWorks Animation on feature films like, “Shrek the Third”, "Megamind," and "The Penguins of Madagascar," Ryan entered the VR space at Oculus Story Studio where he produced the immersive narrative, "Dear Angelica.”

Since then, Ryan has produced over 40 immersive experiences - titles that have received multiple film festival official selections, nominations, and awards, including 2 Emmys.
