Renowned author, actress, humanitarian, and political activist Ashley Judd is heralded for her unforgettable performances and tireless advocacy work. From starring roles in box office hits and award-winning independent films, her films tell very personal stories that tap into larger issues. Through her fervent advocacy work, she was awarded the TIME100 Impact Award and was named one of TIME’s “Persons of the Year” for her role as a silence-breaker and change-maker of the #MeToo movement, shifting the culture and conversation around sexual abuse and harassment. She currently serves as a Global Goodwill Ambassador for UNFPA and as an Ambassador for the human trafficking agency the Polaris Project and Culture Reframed, which responds to the public health crisis of violent and misogynistic pornography. Ashley holds an MPA from the Harvard Kennedy School, and her paper, “Gender Violence: Law and Social Justice,” was awarded the Dean’s Scholar award at Harvard Law School.
