Brian Block

Brian Block is a nighttime economy management expert with over 20 years of experience in city government focusing on planning, placemaking, economic development, live music, nightlife and entertainment.
Brian serves as the City of Austin’s Nightlife and Entertainment Manager where he oversees entertainment-related sound management and works to support entertainment, nightlife and live music in Austin by cultivating thriving nightlife, vibrant, safe and well managed entertainment districts, and residential quality of life through regulation, planning, policy and partnerships.
Brian is the founding President of The NITECAP Alliance, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the growing network of nighttime managers in local governments and advancing nighttime management in the US.
