Temple Grandin
Temple Grandin is an American scientist, professor, author, public speaker and industrial designer, recognized globally for both her work in autism advocacy and her work on animal and livestock welfare. After graduating with a bachelor’s in psychology, she earned a master’s degree (1975) and a doctorate (1989) in animal science. Since 1990 she taught animal science at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, where she also manages Grandin Livestock Systems. In 2010 she was named one of Time Magazine’s 100 most influential people, and has authored over 400 articles for scientific and industry journals. She continues to teach, speak and write, and inspire people young and old to do more, be kinder and more respectful, and to stay curious.
