PJ Rivera

PJ Rivera is a Principal in Deloitte's Government & Public Services (GPS) Practice, serving as its Futures Leader and also as the Strategy & Growth Leader for the Human Capital (HC) Business, in addition to leading large transformation efforts across the public sector and food ecosystem.

As the GPS Futures Leader, PJ guides a team that works across four sectors (Civilian Agencies; Defense, Security, & Justice; Federal Health; and, State, Local & Higher Education) and with ~30k professionals to uncover as well as prepare for the major shifts that will shape our government and public services clients’ realities 5-15yrs out. The GPS Futures Team helps shape Deloitte’s long-range strategy, market configuration with new partners, and investments in new solutions/products.

As the GPS HC Strategy & Growth Leader, PJ leads a team of executives responsible for top line results across an $800M+ practice and ~3k professionals, which includes the Practice’s Sector Champions, Chief Marketing Officer, Assets Strategy Leader, Sales Executives, Corporate Development, Sector Optimization Leaders, + Mega-Trend Growth Leaders.

Prior to Deloitte, PJ led Marriott International’s Global Business Advisory + Communication Services organization that (1) facilitated global strategic planning, (2) managed a practice of consultants that led enterprise strategy and transformation projects, and (3) led global internal communications that touched 800k+ professionals.

Prior to joining Marriott, PJ served as a Senior Manager at Deloitte, where he managed a diverse portfolio of strategy and human capital consulting projects, and over 80 employees globally. As a consultant, PJ has provided coaching, training, and consulting services to over three dozen public and private sector organizations. PJ also served as the human capital strategy lead for a multi-billion dollar federal agency.
