Veena Prasad
Veena Prasad is the Program Director at Spark Northwest, a nonprofit organization that partners with rural, Indigenous and low-wealth communities to build an equitable clean energy future. As Program Director, one of Veena’s priorities is to advocate for and include deep community engagement strategies in our program design and implementation. Veena’s career started as an engineer and project manager in the corporate sector at Procter & Gamble, before she became a food entrepreneur and then founded a nonprofit social enterprise.
Veena has a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University and a Master’s in Business Administration degree from University of Washington Foster School of Business.
Veena is mom to twins in fourth grade. In her spare time, she’s an avid cook, traveler and gardener. Originally from India and having lived in the US Midwest and in Germany, Veena has called Seattle home since 2007.
