Beth Hartman

At the Water Power Technologies Office, Beth serves as the Program Manager for the office’s Strategic Innovation and Outreach team, leading and shaping efforts to find new solutions in hydropower and marine energy. Prior to joining the Department of Energy, she had already established herself as an expert in private-public partnerships and incubators and accelerators over a decade of work in the renewable energy sector. She served various roles at RMI, including Chief of Staff for the CEO and manager of the “America is All In” US program. Before RMI, she led the Incubatenergy Network at EPRI, a community of over 20 clean energy incubators and accelerators that have collectively supported more than 500 startup companies focused on solutions for transitioning to a more sustainable economy.
