Jesper Nordin
Jesper Nordin (b. 1971) studied at the Royal College in Stockholm, at IRCAM in Paris and at Stanford University where he carried out research at the CCRMA studio. Electronic elements, folk, rock and improvisation inform his music. Conductors Esa-Pekka Salonen, Daniel Harding and Kent Nagano, have collaborated with Nordin; the San Francisco Symphony, Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, Philharmonia Orchestra and Ensemble Intercontemporain have performed his music as well as soloists like Martin Fröst and Pekka Kuusisto. As a developer he has founded the music tech startups Gestrument & Reactional Music that have released apps and interactive music for video games.
