A veteran storyteller and brand builder, lan began his career at Condé Nast, where he spent eight years as senior features writer for Details magazine and five years as contributing editor at WIRED U.K. He then converted his love for culture, entertainment and narrative into senior strategy roles at some of the most prestigious creative agencies in the world, beginning first at Grey and then as co-head of strategy at Anomaly New York.

At Media Arts Lab, Apple's exclusive ad agency in LA, lan led strategy on two iPhone releases and the launch of Apple Music before moving back to New York to become CSO at The Barbarian Group. From there, lan shifted to entertainment and experiential, helping Tribeca Enterprises grow from a festival into a premium content agency (again as CSO) before spending five years as head of strategy at Live Nation Entertainment, where he guided its media and sponsorship division through the fastest growing and most profitable era in the company's history.
