Lindsay Gorman is the Head of the Technology and Geopolitics at the German Marshall Fund’s Alliance for Securing Democracy. A quantum physicist and computer scientist by training, she leads ASD’s work on US-China technology competition and bolstering democratic technology resilience.
Lindsay has spent over a decade at the intersection of technology development and national security policy, including recently as a technology advisor in the Biden White House, in the Office of U.S. Senator Mark Warner, and at the National Academy of Sciences. Lindsay regularly briefs senior leaders across the Atlantic and has testified before Congress on emerging technologies. She regularly appears on national media, and her work has been featured in outlets from The New York Times to The Atlantic.
