Jani Huoponen
Do you still remember H.263, the first video codec chosen for mobile video when 3G was a brand new thing? I do… :) I’ve been working in video tech industry since 2000 and worked with various video formats ever since, including helping YouTube to deploy VP9 and AV1 in the device ecosystem. Over the past few years I've had the pleasure of diving in to the audio processing, delivery and playback. It always seemed to me that audio playback was considered as the step child compared to video playback, huge injustice! :) While I can't play any musical instrument or sing, music has always been a huge part in my life and thus I enjoy the opportunity of bringing spatial audio for everyone through the IAMF open source spatial audio project, developed at Alliance for Open Media.
