Chris Gethard

Chris Gethard is a comedian, actor, author, and podcaster hailing from New Jersey. He’s the host of the Beautiful/Anonymous and New Jersey Is The World podcasts. He’s written five books. As an actor, he’s been seen on television shows (The Office, Space Force, Lucky Hank, Broad City, Parks and Recreation) and in movies (Don’t Think Twice, The Other Guys, Anchorman 2, The Heat, Ghostbusters, Class Action Park).

In 2017, HBO aired Chris’s one-man show Career Suicide, following critically praised runs at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and off-broadway in New York. A frank look at mental illness, depression, addiction, and the many side effects of mental health medications, the show gained widespread media attention and created a dialogue about the stigmatization of mental illness.
