Curtis Matzke
Curtis Matzke is a director, screenwriter, and producer based in Chicago who has been nominated for two regional Emmys. He has contributed to numerous shorts, documentaries, and micro-budget features recognized at film festivals, including Athens International, Cinequest, and NewFilmmakers Los Angeles. His latest experimental horror short film, SINK, premiered at the Academy-qualifying Chicago International Film Festival and has screened at a dozen festivals since. In 2021, he was mentored by the legendary Werner Herzog and continues to explore various forms of writing and directing. Curtis holds a B.A. and M.A. in Media Arts and Technology from Michigan State University with a concentration in Television, Cinema, & Radio, and a minor in Film Studies.
