Nur Yildirim
Nur Yildirim is a Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) designer and a PhD candidate at Carnegie Mellon. Her research focuses on bringing design thinking and participatory approaches to AI product development, specifically to engage domain stakeholders in early-phase innovation. Nur worked at Google Research and Microsoft Research on human-centered AI innovation. She is the recipient of a Digital Health fellowship from the Center for Machine Learning and Health. The National Institutes of Health, the National Science Foundation, and Accenture have supported her work. Prior to starting her PhD, Nur worked as a professional industrial designer, shipping award-winning products ranging from medical to consumer electronics to assistive robots to toys.
