Heather Courtney
Heather Courtney is the Founding General Partner of Alwyn Capital, a leading, early-stage venture capital fund investing in biotech companies disrupting the animal-based economy. Alwyn Capital partners with innovators that are revolutionizing the future of food, fashion and medicine through innovations that replace an outdated reliance on animals.
Heather is also an advisor to two of the leading industry think tanks - the Material Innovation Initiative, and the Center for Contemporary Sciences. In addition to her role at Alwyn, Heather is a Deal Lead for the GlassWall Syndicate (a group of over 200 impact investors) and the Co-Chair for GlassWall’s Alternatives to Animal Testing Committee. Heather holds a BS in Biochemistry from the University of Florida and a BA from Parsons School of Design.
