Paul Chiou is a fifth-year Computer Science Ph.D. Candidate at the University of Southern California. His research interests include using program analysis and software testing techniques to tackle under-addressed accessibility problems in software engineering. Paul’s research work includes building programs to automatically detect and repair accessibility issues that can hinder disabled users’ access to the web and mobile applications. As a beneficiary of assistive technologies, Paul is an advocate for disability research and believes that accessible technology can improve the quality of life and create equal opportunity for the disabled. Paul’s vision is to improve software accessibility quality assurance in order to create a web and mobile environment that is more accessible for all.
