Facilitator
The Persona Project

I have a few personas. You probably have some too. The Persona Project applies design methods and processes to develop one’s own personas. Personas are a lightweight way to get unstuck. The process helps you learn more about yourself, grow into who you want to be, and make the changes you need for the life you want.

I spent 17 years designing and shipping technology products at LeapFrog, Tellme, Microsoft/Xbox, Fitbit, NIO, Lighthaus (educational VR), and IndeVets.

I know product design and user research. I've worked at small startups (4th hire), growing companies, and massive corporations. In all these professional situations, I found myself looking for more meaning in life.

Enter persona design.

While building a successful consulting business in Philadelphia, I wielded the power of new personas in contract negotiations and new leadership roles.

I have Earnestine, Dee, and a host of others. I continue to work with personas to expand my leadership within The Persona Project.

I am a creative person who took a sabbatical to travel the US in an RV with my wife and dog (and attend SXSW!) and made a short film inspired by the whole affair. I'm also a certified 200-hour yoga teacher, a fun-loving community musician, and a local hiker.

Programming descriptions are generated by participants and do not necessarily reflect the opinions of SXSW.
