Liza Donnelly
Liza is a writer, cartoonist and visual journalist for The New Yorker, CBS, CNN, the NY Times, WaPo and many other publications. Innovator of a new form of reportage called digital live drawing, Liza covered the Oscars in person 8 years, and was the first cartoonist credentialed for the awards show, as well as the White House, the DNC and other political events while she was Resident Cartoonist at CBS News. She is the author of 18 books, her most recent is a history of women cartoonists titled Very Funny Ladies, published in 2022. Her very popular TED talk was translated into 45 languages and viewed 1.5 million times online. She currently is Visiting Scholar at Vassar College, was awarded a PhD from UConn. Liza is currently producing/directing a film about women and humor. Liza lives in New York City.
