Carrboro NC’s Sleepy Cat Records was founded by Gabriel Anderson and Saman Khoujinian to nurture a community of forward-thinking musicians. We’re deep divers in the process of generating music from top to bottom - production, session work, audio engineering/mixing/mastering, art direction and design. Our releases to date embody our focus on thoughtful songwriting and unique production. We don’t own our artists’ master recordings and ensure that they see the overwhelming majority of income. In the spirit of conducting business as ethically as we can, we maintain an ongoing donation fund in which we give 10% of everything we make to organizations doing social and environmental justice work.
