Invest Like a Woman: Rising Emerging Managers and Seed Investors
Only 14% of check writers at venture capital firms are women. In response to this problem, more women are breaking out and starting their own funds. Instead of being the first women at a firm or trying to fit into a firm’s existing investment thesis/approach, these rising stars in venture capital are creating a new way to play the venture capital game, where they are in the drivers seat. This shift of more women emerging as managers will ultimately result in shifting money and power to many often overlooked and underrepresented founders.
