Pride Nights at professional sport games are an endangered species. Ultimately though, the LGBTQ+ sports community will adapt and survive. How did we get here? It will be the role of industry leaders, players, and fans to create the next evolution of Pride Night and it’s time to talk about it. Bringing perspectives from the player side and business side of sports, this session critically evaluates the intersectionality of sports and the LGBTQ+ identity, the economic, social, and political implications of Pride Nights, and the opportunity we have to bring these worlds closer together than ever.
