Thinking Outside the Hive: Designing Tomorrow's Beehive

Mar 9, 2024

11:30am – 12:30pm CT

The bees are in dire need of help! This panel will discuss the intersection of ecology, design, bee preservation, and the innovative solutions we can arrive at when we collaborate on the world’s most pressing issues. The standard beehive hasn't changed in over 100 years, but our environment has. We’ve engaged some of the brightest young minds at the University of Texas School of Architecture to use their unique insights and modern understanding of materials to create inventive structures that help bees not only survive but thrive.
