Ballot measures allow voters to create real change when politicians are out of touch, and have led to major progressive wins in recent years—especially on the issue of reproductive freedom. This panel will look at the recent slate of progressive ballot measure wins and lessons learned from key victories, particularly in red and purple states. We'll also tackle how this crucial path for people-powered campaigns has come under attack in response to strong victories for working people. What kind of attacks on ballot measures are we seeing—in which states—and how can we organize to overcome them?
