In 2020, after the BLM protests, brands made sweeping changes to their leadership teams by creating new roles that championed DEI and promised financial investment into specific communities. Four years later, those same roles were eliminated or experienced massive turnover, budgets slashed, and there was zero financial transparency. With recent Supreme Court rulings, are brands now empowered to roll back on their commitments to help specific communities? This panel explores the landscape, the risk, and the long-term effect of eliminating diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace.
