Keynote: Lisa Su
As chair and chief executive officer, Dr. Lisa T. Su led the transformation of AMD into the industry’s high-performance and adaptive computing leader and one of the fastest growing semiconductor companies in the world.
Dr. Su has bachelor’s, master’s and doctorate degrees in electrical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). She was elected to the National Academy of Engineering and the American Academy of Arts & Science and received the Grace Hopper Technical Leadership Abie Award. Dr. Su has been recognized by the IEEE with its highest semiconductor honor, the Robert N. Noyce Medal, and was appointed by President Biden to the President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology. She is one of Fortune’s Most Powerful Women and is an International Peace Honors Honoree for achievements in revolutionizing high performance computing, the donation of supercomputing power for infectious disease research, and inspiring people from all backgrounds to pursue careers in STEM.
Dr. Su believes AMD is at its best when taking bold, calculated risks and aggressively pursuing the leading-edge technologies that change the world. During this session, she’ll talk about how Generative AI is perhaps the biggest killer app for high-performance computing, how AI will help researchers solve some of the world’s toughest challenges and positively impact personalized medicine, crop production, arts and entertainment, deep space exploration, climate change and transportation; and how AMD is enabling an open ecosystem and partnering across the industry to accelerate AI solutions at scale.
