Driven to revitalize the rich world of Rap and Hip Hop, D.E.M.E hails from Newark, New Jersey but later moved to Kinston, North Carolina at the age of 4. Facing the struggles of parental separation and cerebral palsy, the budding artist used music as a channel to cope. From a young age, the rising artist was moved by the likes of Jay-Z, Tupac, Nas, Eminem, and Biggie. Influenced by their powerful and sensory impact on the genre of Hip Hop and the lives of people, D.E.M.E began penning down his own individual rhymes at the age of 7. As the budding artist’s burning passion for hip-hop became undeniable in High School, D.E.M.E would experiment and evolve his musical tastes and styles, rooted within the Hip Hop genre. Partaking in rap battles, cyphers and even talent shows held at school. Under the patronage of the Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc., D.E.M.E. began to showcase his musical genius and artistic prowess at live performances and public events, amassing mass acclaim.
