When you are not a native Houstonian, and hear of a dead end, you assume that one is referring to a street with no outlet. When you are in fact a native Houstonian, like Patrick "Lil Pat" Hurst, to mention a "dead end" - is to mention Home.
Lil Pat is Houston. Raised on the South Side, popularly referred to as South Park, Pat comes from a Houston neighborhood known as Dead End. He attended and graduated from J. Frank Dobie High School in 2013. By this time Pat had been freestyling since the age of 8, and had been writing raps since middle school. He caught his first concert featuring Kirko Bangz in 2012 where his classmate was the show opener. He recorded his first song to a popular Lil Wayne instrumental, titled No Worries the same year he graduated, and hit the stage himself for the first time in 2016 at a house party. Though he had been rapping often, he did not begin recording consistently until 2016.
