Zenei at Coconut Club
For Zenei there is nothing more important than music, and within his productions and sets he shows it at its best. Born and raised all his life in Monterrey Zenei always had an affinity for music starting playing the piano at age 5 and eventually starting to produce for his musical influences received from the electronic world such as Skrillex, Madeon, Justice, Daft Punk, Sam Gellaitry, Kaytranada, etc.
Along the way he learned much bigger skills as creating full-length extended projects helping in projects such as "Si yo sê hablar es por ti" by Lil Benjas, "La Maquina Persona" by Méne (former participant in SXSW) and "Lo Que Tenga Que Esperar" by FERRR; creative direction in various areas and above all a curation of sounds, images and styles that is rarely seen within Latin spaces.
With only 20 years old Zenei seeks to expand far beyond the limits it has allowed at this time accompanied by Adrian Be, Perdón Amor, Ximena Soto, mntr and all Incondicional taking a different perspective to mainstream and alternative music.
Programming descriptions are generated by participants and do not necessarily reflect the opinions of SXSW.
