Alex Garland

Alex Garland began his career as a novelist, most famously writing The Beach. He moved into screenwriting with 28 Days Later and earned an Oscar nomination for writing Ex Machina, which he also directed. Garland’s other notable projects include the TV series Devs and the films Annihilation and Men.
