Floyd Haynes

Floyd Haynes is a Guyanese-American who calls both the United States and Guyana home. In addition to helping to advise the Guyanese government, he has been instrumental in helping to develop the framework of Guyana’s important national local content legislation. He is the founder of NewHayven Merchant Bank in Guyana which aims to kickstart Guyana's local businesses and the finance sector as a whole.

In the US, Floyd is the founder and President of Haynes Inc, a Washington-based accounting and management/consulting firm with clients such as the US Dept of State and the USAID. He also directed operations for audit and oversight for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

After attending MBA classes at Wharton Business School, Floyd received an MSc in Financial Economics and a post- graduate diploma in Financial Strategy from University of Oxford and a Masters in Public Policy from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government.
