Karla Pita Loor
Karla Pita Loor is Executive Vice President, Enterprise Inclusion & Social Responsibility for Banijay Americas.
Pita Loor works across divisions to ensure that the content, creative talent, and workforce across Banijay America’s subsidiary studio’s represent the company’s commitment to inclusion and social responsibility and practice corporate social responsibility. In her role, she oversees policies and initiatives to enhance an inclusive and equitable culture and talent development practices, provides meaningful consultation across the development and production pipelines, and collaborates closely with external partners to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion across the entertainment industry. She also co-chairs Banijay’s global diversity initiative, BELONG.
Pita Loor has more than two decades of experience in organizational development, brand partnerships, strategic communications, philanthropy and social impact. Prior to joining Banijay Americas, Pita Loor served as the Television Academy’s Chief Development Officer for the organization’s charitable, pro-social arm for nearly a decade. She has worked across education, cause, and media throughout her career.
Pita Loor serves on the Board of the National Association of Latino Independent Producers (NALIP), where she assumed the role of Chair of the Board in 2021. She also serves on the Board of Directors for the Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media, on the Cal State Entertainment Alliance, and is a founding member of the Entertainment Industry Foundation’s (EIF) Career Program.
